Windows Uninstaller: Tool To Uninstall Windows From Dual-Boot

Windows operating system supports dual-booting, where one can install multiple versions of Windows side-by-side on a PC. In simple words, for instance, one can install Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 on the same PC without much hassle.

Users who want to test drive a newly released Windows version or who would like to use multiple versions of Windows generally use the dual-boot feature.

After installing and testing a version of Windows for some time, one might want to uninstall one of the versions from the PC. For instance, if you had installed Windows 8 Preview in dual-boot with Windows 7 and now would like to uninstall Windows 8 or Windows 7 from dual-boot installation, you need to first format the Windows drive or delete all Windows associated files from the drive and then need to remove the boot menu entry.

But if you’re looking for an even simpler method to uninstall a version of Windows from dual-boot system, we have an awesome tool share with you.

Windows Uninstaller is a free tool that not only lets you remove Windows OS related files from a drive but also removes the version entry from the boot menu. Windows Uninstaller first scans your hard drive for all installed versions of Windows (supports Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 only), asks you to select the drive on which the version of Windows that you would like to uninstall is installed, and then removes files such as hibernate.sys, Program Files, Windows, and other files/folders from the drive, and finally deletes the boot menu entry for you.

Please note that you can’t uninstall a version of Windows if it’s the only operating system on your PC. That is, you can use this tool only if you have installed Windows in dual-boot. For instance, if Windows 7 and Windows 8 are in dual-boot, then you have run Windows Uninstaller on Windows 7 to uninstall Windows 8 or run on Windows 8 in order to remove Windows 7.
