ESET, the maker of award-winning NOD32 antivirus, has just released the beta versions of its upcoming ESET Smart Security 6 and ESET NOD32 Antivirus 6 software with new features and are now available as free download to all users.
ESET Smart Security 6 and NOD32 Antivirus 6 comes with a number of improvements, fixes and new features. Anti-Theft is one of the new features available in the newest version of the software and it’s the main attraction of this version.
With this feature, one can easily locate and retrieve lost or stolen computer. Using this, you can see who has your PC through the built-in camera, collect snapshots of the missing PC and manage your device through web interface.
Anti-Theft, idle-state scanning, scan while downloading files and update rollback are the new features in this version of the software. This version of ESET Smart Security and NOD32 Antivirus sports a redesigned user interface as well.
Antivirus, antispyware, removable media control, firewall, antispam, gamer mode, netbook security, parental controls, cloud-enhanced whitelisting are other features of Smart Security.
The current version of ESET Smart Security 6 and NOD32 Antivirus support Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Windows Home Server operating systems only. Official support for Windows 8 is not available, you can install and test drive it on Windows 8 without any issues.
